RAYNE PALOMBIT, PsyD - LICSENSE # PSY32502
Iām Rayne (they/she), a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in helping young people have more joyful and fulfilling lives. I was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area, and after residing in Los Angeles for the last decade I now split my time between LA and Brooklyn. NYC. After being a first generation college student, I earned Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology at the University of La Verne. My career and personal life is dedicated to supporting folks who have been ignored, dismissed, and harmed by conventional societal structures, norms, and systems. My work is informed by social and disability justice, liberation, decolonization, anti-capitalism, abolition, harm-reduction, and community.
My clinical experience spans a range of settings, including schools, hospitals, residential treatment centers/group homes, and nonprofit community organizations. I received specialized training in areas such as complex trauma (particularly childhood, sexual, and relational trauma), crisis intervention, challenging youth and family dynamics, poverty, housing insecurity, psychological assessment, major life or identity transitions, and system involvement (e.g., foster care, legal). I have additional education in neuro-affirming frameworks, and experience assessing and supporting neurodivergent clients.
I have a deep passion for navigating and dismantling oppressive sociopolitical systems and helping people heal from the harm they cause. I have contributed to transforming systems through research, supervision, advocacy, consultation, and committee work. I am driven by a commitment to increasing support and understanding for queer, gender-diverse, neurodivergent, disabled, financially marginalized, and BIPOC communities.
